Academy for Micropigmentation

I remember the first time I searched for information on permanent makeup. Microblading was all the rage and I started a course by Phi Brows. Later, I would learn that I could NOT micro blade in New Jersey without completing 100 hrs. of an American Academy of Micropigmentation approved course, apprenticeship, and certification.

There were not many options 5 years ago for learning the fundamentals of cosmetic tattooing and understanding state regulations. Today you can find a training center within 30 miles of your residence. But will they equip you to succeed in the future? 95% of PMU artists never work past the first year.

Do not be fooled by the ads claiming you will make a quarter million your first or even second year out, that you will see multiple clients upwards of $600 per service. This only happens after time in the industry. Clients demands an experienced artist and usually the first year out you are working for $250 per service and searching hard for clients.

A career in Micropigmentation can be quite rewarding. Success in the field requires serious preparation both financially and building your skill-set. I tell you this to set you up for success. It will not be handed to you and it can-not be bought. It takes time and you must be determined. Out program is AAM Platinum Certified and follows all the guidelines of the American Academy of the Micropigmentation 100 Hour course. We follow all Health Department, NJ state and local laws, and are monitored by the NJ Department of Health.
